Converting a file or DVD using Nero Recode

1. The time it takes to do this part will vary greatly with how powerfull your computer is. It may easily take a few hours. It is not recommended that you use your computer for anything else while this process is running
   
   
2. Launch Nero Recode
   
   
3. Choose "Recode DVDs and Video to Nero Digital" from the menu
   
   
   
4. Click the "Import Files Button"
   
   
   
5. Browse to your DVD or video file and click on it. When Nero has recognized it, click on Add Title, and then Close
   
   
   
6. Highlight the file/dvd you just chose and doubleclick the value under Video Quality
   
   
   
7. Change that value to either 1.0 Mbps or 100oKbps depending on the suffix. Nero will round to some value close to what you entered.
   
   
8. Ensure your Profile setting match the image below and click the "Next" Button
   
   
   
9. Make sure Destination is Hard Drive and browse to where you would like to save the file and then click the "Burn" button
   
   
   
10. Nero will show the progress of it's encoding. To speed up the process uncheck the box labled "Enable video preview"
    
    
    
11. It will now likely take a couple of hours to complete. Please don't use your computer for anything else at this time as it will slow down the process.
