Watching a Downloded Game Film on Your Desktop

  • Zebraweb.Org recommends using VLC player to play back .mp4 files, but feel free to use any player you are already comfortable using

  • How to Download VLC
    • Download VLC from here

    • Internet Explorer may prompt you with a security alert bar, click the bar and choose download file


    • Click on Save when you see this


    • When prompted where you would like to save the file, browse to where you want to save the game film (usually Desktop is a good option) and click on Save


  • Installing VLC

    • When the download is complete, find this icon on your desktop and doubleclick on it to install it.


    • If you see this window click on Run


    • Click Next

    • Click I Agree

    • Click Next

    • Click Install

    • Click Next to finisht the installation. VLC player will now launch

    • You can now delete the installer


    • When this screen appears, click on OK


  • Playing Videos with VLC

    • This is the interface for VLC with standard playback buttons as well as two other buttons to slow down video playback speed and speed it back up. Each click on each button will increase its effect by an increment whose total is visible at the botton (default: 1.00x)


    • There is an option to use advanced controls (Record, Snapsho, A-B Loop, Frame advance) by Clicking on View and checking Advanced Controls




    • You can now watch downloaded video by opening them from the player via the Media>File Open menu and browsing to the video


    • You can also watch downloaded videos by doubleclicking the downloaded video, It's icon will look like a traffic cone
